Delivery Driver at Warehouse

BASIC FUNCTIONS

Operate a light truck or van to pick up and deliver mail, equipment, materials, supplies and District funds; assist in the District warehouse operations.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of: Safe driving practices and traffic laws. Basic principles and methods of servicing automotive equipment. Proper loading and unloading of vans. Basic record-keeping techniques. Proper methods of lifting heavy objects.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Any combination equivalent to: high school diploma or equivalent and responsible experience in driving light vehicles in delivery work.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS / CERTIFICATES

  • Valid California driver’s license.

  • Presentation and continuance of a satisfactory driving record which assures maintenance of liability insurance coverage.

  • A pre-employment physical examination.

  • A pre-employment drug screening.

  • If selected for the position, out-of-district applicants must be T.B. tested and fingerprinted.

  • A practical skills test may be administered at the time of interview.
