Delivery Driver

A company vehicle is provided for this hourly position at $17.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and drop off automotive parts while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules.
• Load, transport, and deliver items to customers or businesses in a timely, friendly, and courteous manner.
• Review orders before and after delivery to ensure completeness, accuracy of charges, and customer satisfaction.
• Follow directions from dispatcher, adhere to assigned routes, and use route navigation apps or alternative routes to meet delivery schedules.
• Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles without interfering with customer operations.
• Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and professionally handle complaints or concerns.
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Accept payments, prepare reports (invoices, return forms), reconcile debt/credit, and manage all moneys collected related to deliveries.
• Complete daily maintenance checks on the company delivery vehicle and report any issues to management.
• Assist with other store/warehouse duties (e.g., stocking, parts pulling) as assigned.
• Maintain and promote workplace safety.
• Secure and transfer cash or other assets when applicable.

Requirements

• Current, valid driver’s license.
• Must meet company insurance requirements (drivers must be 21 years old or over).
• Current valid automobile insurance with your name on the policy.
• Ability to lift, move, push, and pull up to 50 pounds (75 lbs for Auto Body Parts Collision Drivers).
• Prolonged sitting during deliveries.

Skills

• Ability to manage, track, and account for money transactions and reconcile customer credit/debt balances.
• Proficiency in using tablets/mobile devices for navigation, route optimization, tracking, and customer interface/signature capture.
• Exceptional customer service and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate professionally with tact and diplomacy.
• Ability to take and follow directions and work well as part of a team.
• Flexible schedule with availability to work overtime as needed.
• Previous delivery driving experience is a plus.

Pay

Minimum USD $17.00 per hour.
