Delivery Driver

Local route delivery drivers needed for compressed gas cylinders (oxygen, CO₂, nitrogen, etc.) in the Atlanta and surrounding areas.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

Pay

Hourly pay plus overtime and driver bonus.

Responsibilities

• Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehicle (Gross Vehicle Weight over 26,000 lbs).
• Pick up and safely transport goods to the intended destination.
• Ensure contents are properly secured in the truck to prevent damage or injury.
• Obtain signatures to confirm and complete deliveries.
• Assist in mapping driving routes and stay on a predetermined route for timely transport and delivery.
• Communicate with dispatch as needed.
• Confirm that shipment loads match the manifest document.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Keep the vehicle clean and perform maintenance as needed (refuel, change oil, check tire pressure, repairs, etc.).
• Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered.
• Follow the delivery schedule and rest at appropriate times.
• Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs.
• Adhere to company rules and regulations.
• Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to weather and road conditions.
• Comply with ICC and DOT regulations.
• Make safety a priority at all times.
• Operate an electric lift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
• Use GPS and other routing systems for map reading and route planning.

Requirements

• Minimum license required: Class B CDL.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of proven experience in commercial truck driving preferred.
• Clean driving record with no moving violations.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.
• Skilled at driving and parking large, heavy vehicles.
• Alert, focused, and detail-oriented.
• Physically and mentally fit; ability to lift up to 60 lbs. at a time.
• Great physical stamina and focus during long driving shifts.
• Self-starter who works well independently.
• Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful.
• High level of composure and good stress management.
• An innate sense of direction.
