About the role
As a Domino's Pizza Delivery Driver, you will deliver orders to designated locations on time while maintaining punctuality, honesty, and a courteous manner. You will also assist with food preparation, customer orders, cleaning duties, and rotating food shipments, which may involve lifting up to 50 pounds. Knowledge of product details, services, and charges is essential to provide accurate information to customers when needed.
This role may require working outdoors in various temperatures, in noisy environments, near moving mechanical parts, and with dangerous equipment or sharp tools. The position is physically demanding, involving repetitive hand use, prolonged standing, bending, twisting, reaching, crouching, stooping, or kneeling.
Responsibilities
- Perform pre-delivery vehicle preparations
- Learn and navigate the delivery area efficiently
- Check orders for quality and accuracy before delivery
- Provide quality customer service through positive and professional interactions in person or by phone
- Assist with food preparation and packaging
- Take customer orders and process payments
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the store and its equipment
- Rotate commissary deliveries
Requirements
- Attention to detail and a sense of urgency in all job aspects
- Customer-focused with strong initiative
- Cash management skills
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license for two or more years, compliant with state laws
- Acceptable motor vehicle report/driving abstract (no more than two moving violations and one accident in the last year; DUI or speeding tickets over 25 mph disqualify applicants)
- Insured and satisfactory vehicle for deliveries
- Ability to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and unscheduled shifts as emergencies arise
- Willingness to learn and be cross-trained for other restaurant duties, with reasonable accommodation if needed
Pay
Hourly wage: $15.05–$16.55, plus additional tips and mileage compensation when applicable. Gas reimbursement is based on a third-party surveyor’s recommended rate, currently at $1.60 per run, along with reimbursement for data usage.
