About the role
Drivers typically average over $20/hr (Wage + Tips + Mileage reimbursement). Mileage reimbursement and tips paid daily, hourly wages paid out every other Friday.
Responsibilities
- Use safe driving practices to deliver products within a designated delivery area.
- Make several deliveries per shift.
- Travel between the store and delivery vehicle and from the delivery vehicle to the customer's location.
- Carry pizzas and beverages while performing "walking" and "climbing" duties.
- Navigate 5+ flights of stairs during delivery.
- Forward bend at the waist for approximately 30 - 45 seconds at a time, repeated continuously during the day.
- Reach above 72" occasionally to turn on/off oven controls, change prices on sign, and lift and lower objects to and from shelves.
- Manipulate a pizza peel when removing pizza from the oven, and when using the rolling cutter.
- Grasp cans, the pizza cutter and pizza peel, and pizza boxes.
- Use eye-hand coordination and frequent activities requiring use of one or both hands.
- Talk and hear on telephone. Differentiate between hot and cold surfaces. Have depth perception as well as near and mid-range vision required for most in-store tasks. Have far and night vision required for driving.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Pass a background check and have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record (subject to review of Motor Vehicle Report).
- Have a reliable vehicle and valid insurance.
- Have good navigational skills and be able to read/follow maps and locate addresses within designated delivery area.
- Be able to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings in order to deliver products.
- Be able to follow directives, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and well with others, work well under stress, meet strict quality control standards, provide excellent customer service, analyze and compile data, make good judgements and decisions.
