Responsibilities
- Operate all store equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler.
- Prepare product and receive/process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
- Deliver pizzas using an insured vehicle, navigating to addresses within the designated delivery area, including multi-story buildings.
- Make correct monetary change and process orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Valid driver’s license with 2 years of driving history (1 year if over 19).
- Access to an insured vehicle for deliveries.
- Navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written and verbal instructions.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and co-workers.
- Basic math skills for handling money and making change.
- Motor coordination for rapid and precise movements (e.g., entering orders, handling food).
Skills
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills for order processing.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly.
- Proficiency in using a computer keyboard or touch screen for order entry.
- Depth perception and ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
- Ability to work under stress, meet quality control standards, and multitask.
Work Conditions
- Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when performing outside tasks.
- In-store temperatures range from 36°F in coolers to 90°F+ in work areas, with sudden temperature changes.
- Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, and cramped quarters (e.g., walk-in cooler).
- Hot surfaces/tools (up to 500°F or higher) and sharp edges/moving mechanical parts.
- Tasks performed primarily from a standing position, with short-distance walking on ceramic tile or linoleum.
- Occasional climbing (stairs or ladders) for maintenance or sign changes.
Physical Requirements
- Standing: Most tasks are performed while standing.
- Lifting: Unload bulk deliveries (up to 50 lbs) using a hand truck; stack cases onto shelves up to 72" high.
- Carrying: Transport large cans (3 lbs, 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lbs), and trays of pizza dough (12 lbs per tray, 3 at a time).
- Pushing/Pulling: Move trays on dollies (requiring up to 7.5 lbs of force).
