About the role
Domino’s Pizza is hiring qualified drivers to staff stores in your area. We offer a flexible schedule that fits the hours you need, leaving time for school, friends, or even a second job. Responsibilities
- Operate all store equipment and stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage and work areas.
- Prepare products and receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and the facility on a daily basis.
- Navigate to addresses within the designated delivery area, including multi-story buildings and adverse terrain.
- Handle cash transactions, make correct monetary change, and enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle for delivery use.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to process orders over the phone and in person.
- Motor coordination for precise, rapid movements.
Work environment
- Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash or performing outside tasks.
- In-store temperatures range from 36°F in the cooler to 90°F or above in some areas.
- Sudden temperature changes in the work area and while outside.
- Fumes from food odors, cornmeal dust, and cramped quarters including the walk-in cooler.
- Hot surfaces and tools from ovens up to 500°F or higher, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.
Physical requirements
- Standing for most tasks; walking for short distances on surfaces including ceramic tile, brick, and linoleum.
- Sitting for paperwork at a desk or table.
- Lifting bulk product deliveries (cases up to 50 lbs, 3' x 1.5') from the floor and stacking onto shelves up to 72" high using a hand truck.
- Carrying large cans (3 lbs, 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lbs), and trays of pizza dough (12 lbs per tray).
- Pushing trays on dollies with a force up to 7.5 lbs; occasionally pulling trays.
- Infrequent climbing of stairs or ladders to change sign prices, wash walls, or perform maintenance.
Advancement
Many team members begin as delivery drivers and advance to management, general manager, franchisee, or corporate operations roles. The brand continues to deliver the “Power of Possible” to local store owners, 90% of whom started as delivery drivers and pizza makers.
