Responsibilities

• Operate all store equipment and stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler.
• Prepare product and receive/process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
• Navigate and deliver orders within the designated area, including multi-story buildings and adverse terrain.
• Provide excellent customer service both over the phone and in person.
• Make correct monetary change and process orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Access to an insured vehicle for deliveries.
• Navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses within the delivery area.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use a calculator).
• Strong verbal, writing, and telephone skills for order processing.
• Motor coordination for rapid and precise movements, including keyboard/touch screen use.

Skills

• Ability to comprehend and give correct written and verbal instructions.
• Experience handling monetary transactions and making correct change.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform tasks requiring bending, pushing, pulling, and climbing.
• Tolerance for varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions, temperature fluctuations, and exposure to food odors, dust, and hot surfaces.
• Ability to work under stress, multitask, and maintain quality control standards.

Work Conditions

• In-store temperatures range from 36°F in coolers to 90°F or higher in some work areas, with sudden temperature changes.
• Exposure to fumes from food odors, cornmeal dust, and cramped quarters (e.g., walk-in cooler).
• Handling hot surfaces/tools (oven temperatures up to 500°F or higher) and sharp edges/moving mechanical parts.
• Tasks performed from a standing position, with short-distance walking on ceramic tile or linoleum surfaces.
• Occasional climbing (stairs or ladders) for maintenance or sign changes.
• Frequent lifting and carrying, including cases of ingredients/supplies (up to 50 lbs), trays of pizza dough (12 lbs per tray), and large cans (3 lbs, 7 oz).
• Pushing/pulling dollies with stacks of trays (requiring up to 7.5 lbs of force).
