Responsibilities

  • Operate all store equipment.
  • Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler.
  • Prepare product and receive/process telephone orders.
  • Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
  • Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
  • Deliver orders using an insured vehicle, navigating to addresses within the designated delivery area, including adverse terrain and multi-story buildings.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
  • Access to an insured vehicle for deliveries.
  • Navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses.

Skills

  • Ability to comprehend and give correct written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong communication skills for processing orders over the phone and in person.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and ability to make correct monetary change.
  • Motor coordination for rapid and accurate movements, including typing on a keyboard or touch screen.

Work Conditions

  • Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when performing outside tasks.
  • In-store temperatures range from 36°F in coolers to 90°F or above in some work areas, with sudden temperature changes.
  • Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters (e.g., walk-in cooler), and hot surfaces/tools (up to 500°F or higher).
  • Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.

Sensory and Physical Requirements

  • Sensory:
    • Talking and hearing on the telephone.
    • Near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks.
    • Depth perception and ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
  • Physical:
    • Standing for most tasks, with walking for short distances and durations.
    • Sitting for paperwork at a desk or table.
    • Lifting and carrying:
      • Cases of ingredients/supplies up to 50 pounds (stacked onto shelves up to 72" high).
      • Large cans (3 lbs, 7 oz) and pizza sauce (30 lbs).
      • Trays of pizza dough (12 lbs per tray, carried three at a time).
    • Pushing/pulling trays on dollies (requiring up to 7.5 pounds of force).
    • Infrequent climbing (stairs or ladders) for tasks like changing prices or maintenance.
  • Temperaments:
    • Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone or with others, and work under stress.
    • Strong quality control standards, interpersonal skills, and ability to analyze/compile data and make judgments/decisions.
