Responsibilities
- Deliver pizzas and beverages to customers within a designated delivery area.
- Navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and private homes, while carrying product.
- Operate all store equipment and stock ingredients from delivery area to storage.
- Prepare product and process orders both over the phone and in person.
- Perform tasks such as reading maps, locating addresses, and handling monetary transactions accurately.
- Deliver flyers and door hangers.
- Work in varying in-store temperatures and weather conditions.
- Handle physical tasks including lifting, carrying, pushing, and climbing.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Have a valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written and verbal instructions.
- Basic math skills for handling monetary transactions.
- Motor coordination for tasks requiring rapid and precise movements.
Skills
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills for order processing.
- Ability to use a computer keyboard or touch screen for order entry.
- Eye-hand coordination for tasks such as shaping pizza dough and handling tools.
- Far and night vision for safe driving.
- Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
Work Conditions
- Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions.
- In-store temperatures range from 36°F in cooler areas to 90°F or above in some work areas.
- Exposure to fumes from food odors, cornmeal dust, and cramped quarters.
- Handling hot surfaces/tools from ovens up to 500°F or higher.
- Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
Physical Demands
- Standing for most tasks, with walking for short distances and durations.
- Sitting for completing paperwork.
- Lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds, including cases of ingredients and supplies.
- Pushing and pulling trays on dollies.
- Climbing stairs or ladders for tasks such as changing prices or performing maintenance.
- Stooping, bending, crouching, and squatting for tasks such as stocking shelves and cleaning.
- Reaching continuously in various directions for tasks like obtaining ingredients and operating equipment.
- Frequent and forceful use of hands and forearms for tasks like shaping dough and assembling boxes.
