About the role

The Driver will play an essential role in delivering nuclear pharmacy products and services to and from the company's clients, including hospitals, physician's offices, community medical centers, and other medical facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the timely delivery of nuclear pharmacy products to predetermined customers on specific routes while meeting internal schedule and quality standards.
  • Follows map/directions to locate delivery locations efficiently.
  • Unloads products as per client specifications while providing excellent customer service.
  • Acts as a customer service liaison for the company, treating all internal and external customers with respect and assisting in resolving complaints.
  • Informs management of complaints or requests in a timely manner.
  • Accepts returns from clients where applicable.
  • Breaks down delivery cases, disposes of radioactive materials, and sanitizes lead pigs.
  • Completes appropriate paperwork for deliveries and returns.
  • Maintains the cleanliness and appearance of the inside and outside of delivery vehicles and facility.
  • Assists with stocking products and supplies, as well as tracking inventory.
  • Notifies Pharmacy Manager when products or supplies are low or need reordering.
  • Performs routine safety checks on vehicles and pre-trip inspections according to company guidelines.
  • Immediately reports all vehicle maintenance issues or malfunctions to the Pharmacy Manager.
  • Follows Standard Operating Procedures while safely carrying out responsibilities.
  • Complies with all company safety standards and federal, state, and local laws.
  • Obtains required DOT training and certification.
  • Works various shifts based on the needs of the location.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to efficiently plan routes and exhibit proper driving etiquette.
  • Ability to drive safely in all types of weather and road conditions.
  • Ability to work a variety of schedules, including early mornings, days, nights, holidays, weekends, overtime, and on-call as needed.
  • Excellent critical-thinking, interpersonal communication, and customer service skills.
  • Good judgment and self-discipline.
  • Prior driving, delivery, and/or customer service experience preferred.
  • May be required to pass a physical fitness assessment to evaluate ability to perform regular duties.

Physical Requirements

  • Manual dexterity for manipulating small items.
  • Regularly lift at least 50 pounds throughout each shift and up to 75 pounds on occasion.
  • Able to stand, walk, and sit for 4+ hours with limited rest intervals.
  • Good eye-hand coordination and fair eyesight (with or without correction lenses).
  • Normal hearing in at least one ear (hearing range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz).
  • Ability to analyze situations, set priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to continuous learning.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

Pay

Hourly pay rate: $21.00
