Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service
• Greets customers with a smile and addresses them by name
• Assists customers with their shopping needs
• Answers the phone and takes customer orders
• Runs department registers and handles payments
• Maintains cleanliness and order in the work area
• Prepares, finishes, and replenishes products
• Reports to work on time and as scheduled

Requirements

• Ability to follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
• Ability to solve arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages
• Less than high school education or equivalent experience, with up to six months of similar or related work experience
• Physical ability to perform medium work, including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently
• Visual acuity to see details at close range (color vision, depth perception, and field of vision)
