Deli Production Fryer

About the Role

This role is responsible for working independently to bake, fry, package, display, and stock deli products while ensuring the shift contributes to the financial best interest of the store. The position involves completing all assigned duties in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Perform baking and frying duties as determined by the production schedule (80% of time).
• Price, date, wrap, and/or bag deli products.
• Properly fill, rotate, inspect, and merchandise deli shelves, cases, and displays.
• Notify the Deli Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Assist in receiving, unloading, and stocking merchandise.
• Familiarize yourself with all products carried in the department, including differences in price, taste, preparation, and use.
• Handle spoiled or damaged products per established guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-stocked department.
• Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines, Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations, and Guest Experience Guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience needs.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma (preferred).
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail-oriented.

Physical Requirements

• May be required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Must stand and walk for extended periods, and may bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.
• Works in a typical retail store environment with varied temperatures and is exposed to outside weather conditions.
• Noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
• Travel requirements vary by assignment.
