Deli General Manager Trainee

About the role

Pilot Flying J is seeking an experienced Deli General Manager to oversee high-volume retail facilities. Key responsibilities include generating and executing business plans, meeting sales and profit objectives, ensuring customer satisfaction, managing teams, and driving sales.

Responsibilities

• Generate and execute business plans to achieve established standards, sales, and profit objectives
• Ensure customer expectations are met
• Conduct meetings with subordinate employees
• Maintain effective vendor relationships
• Build, coach, manage, and develop teams from a staffing, interviewing, hiring, and training standpoint
• Drive sales
• Manage team members
• Track inventory
• Provide customer service
• Perform P&L analysis

Qualifications

• Exemplify integrity and accountability at the managerial level
• Demonstrate excellent team leadership skills
• Work a flexible schedule of nights, days, weekends, and holidays
• Have 2-3 years of management experience in restaurant, deli, or foodservice
• Show previous management proficiency in high volume retail with P&L accountability
• Ability to create and maintain a customer-focused culture

Pay

Starting between: $57,783.96 - $65,500.00 / year, plus short-term monthly incentive opportunity.

Schedule

A flexible schedule of nights, days, weekends, and holidays.
