Deli Clerk - Winfield

About the role

As a Deli associate, you will slice deli meats and cheeses to order, fry and bake chicken and other products, and prepare sandwiches, salads, entrees and more. You will provide product suggestions and assist customers with special orders while delivering outstanding customer service. You will stock cases and ensure that customers have a variety of high-quality deli items to choose from. You will ensure complete compliance with food safety and sanitation requirements throughout your daily work. You will clean and sanitize dishes, food preparation areas, and equipment. In some areas, you may be required to obtain a food handler's certification.

Responsibilities

• Inspect deli products for freshness
• Face merchandise in department
• Operate meat slicer
• Operate merchandise scale
• Operate stove/oven/fryer
• Take orders
• Build displays
• Package items for sale
• Clean and sanitize department, backroom and cooler/freezer
• Change fryer oil
