Description JOB DESCRIPTION: DELI CLERK Essential Job Functions Rotates, stocks and straightens merchandise and supplies.Correctly prices all merchandise according to departmental guidelinesFollows proper wrapping and packaging procedure; including the use of the correct size tray and plastic wrap &/or containerPerforms basic housekeeping duties using available equipment, (mops, brooms, floor scrubbing and buffing machines, etc.).Operates all required tools and equipment in a safe manner except when restricted due to age; follows all safety policies and proceduresCleans all required deli-bakery department tools and equipmentFollows proper procedure for producing all bakery/deli productsStanding and/or walking at a rapid pace for extended periods of time to perform essential job functions.Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds Secondary Job Functions Maintains a neat and clean work area.Performs all essential job functions at an acceptable level of speed and accuracyPerform all job functions with limited supervisionMay be required to decorate cakesReceives and unloads truck deliveries using available equipment and according to established guidelines.Ability to lift and move items weighing over 50 poundsAbility to work in temperature extremes, (frozen foods & storage cooler maximum low temperature, -10 degrees).Orders product according to established guidelines in the absence of deli managerOther duties as assignedEOE Job Standards/Requirements Follows dress code.Follows written and oral instructions.Follows established safety policies and procedures.Works well with others.
