About the role
As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well-run store experience within our Fresh departments. You’ll help families put food on their tables and create moments of connection every day. If you enjoy working with food, helping customers, and staying active in a fast-paced environment, this role could be a great fit.
Responsibilities
- Build positive connections with customers and teammates
- Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need
- Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays
- Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards
- Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
- Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
- Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly

- Previous retail or food service experience is helpful, but not required

Pay
This job has a step pay plan that generally starts between $15.00 and $16.50 per hour, with raises occurring after predetermined hours worked. The actual rate offered will meet or surpass the legal wage requirement for the job's location.
