Deli/Bakery Associate

Deli/Bakery Associate role focused on customer satisfaction and revenue growth through quality service and product preparation.

Responsibilities

• Pleasantly assist customers to ensure satisfaction, including greeting customers, answering inquiries, and resolving complaints.
• Prepare, cook, bake, and serve Deli/Bakery items, including frying, seasoning, slicing, weighing, and wrapping products.
• Assemble and decorate cakes or bakery items per customer requests.
• Handle customer phone orders and custom requests with professionalism.
• Serve customers in the Daily Hot Line and provide information about offered items.
• Maintain cleanliness of the department by cleaning display cases, washing dishes, organizing shelves, mopping floors, and sanitizing equipment (e.g., slicers, scales, stoves, mixers).
• Report mechanical issues with equipment via Work Order Forms.
• Receive, inspect, and store Deli/Bakery products upon delivery.
• Engage and maintain professional relationships with vendors.
• Check and report low inventory or supplies.

Requirements

• Works under immediate supervision with reliance on instructions and pre-established guidelines.
• Primary job functions do not typically require independent judgment.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, talk, or hear.
• Must use hands/arms to finger, handle, or reach.
• Requires climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Occasionally required to sit, taste, or smell.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities include peripheral vision.
