Degree Completion Advisor

Duties/Responsibilities

• Degree Reviews/Junior Audits (30%): Conduct degree reviews and junior level audits for all students to outline completed and outstanding course requirements.
• Credits Left to Finish (20%): Work with stop-out students to help them return and complete their degree, collaborate on degree planning and time to degree completion.
• Study Away & Transfer Advising (20%): Work with study abroad students on eligibility, course selection, and credit transfer; advise and advocate for incoming transfer students.
• Additional Advising/Responsibilities (30%): Advise undeclared and business students; oversee advisor assignments; support students not meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP); represent the Academic Affairs Committee.

Requirements

• Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree required in advising, higher education, human resources, program administration, or related field. Two years of experience in student advising, higher education, human resources, program administration, or related field preferred.
