Defense Industries All-Source Analyst � Mid

About the role

Castalia Systems is seeking a Mid‑Level Defense Industries All‑Source Analyst to conduct all‑source analytic production on foreign defense industrial programs, infrastructure, and capabilities supporting a foreign country’s ability to develop, equip, sustain, and employ its military forces across basic, strategic, and military industrial sectors.

Responsibilities

• Provide intelligence production and briefing support to address dynamic intelligence requirements.
• Produce strategic‑level assessments and products addressing research, development, acquisition, test, evaluation and production of foreign weapon systems and equipment, using comprehensive all‑source analytic tradecraft, production cycles, publication standards, community writing styles, and formats.
• Serve as an authority on the topic, delivering comprehensive production often under pressure for senior policymakers or defense stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in all‑source analysis, or 7+ years of experience in all‑source analysis in lieu of a degree.
• Knowledge of Intelligence Community (IC) and Combatant Command environments.
• Ability to develop high‑quality deliverables tailored to senior policymakers or defense stakeholders, including complex written products and formal or informal briefings.
• TS/SCI clearance with willingness to take a polygraph exam; must be a U.S. citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with defense industries analysis such as industrial organization, production processes, foreign weapon systems and equipment, and associated facilities and output levels.
• Knowledge of ICD 203/206 analytic tradecraft standards.
• Knowledge of critical minerals.

Compensation

The projected compensation range for this position is $115,000.00 to $120,000.00 (annualized USD). Salary is determined by factors such as location, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, contract‑specific affordability, and organizational requirements.
