DEFC North Fall Recreational Program

About the role

DEFC North offers a recreational soccer program for children ages 4-14 in Fall 2026. Registration closes on August 7th.

Responsibilities

• Registration opens on June 1st and closes on August 7th.
• Age groups close to new registrations if they reach capacity before August 7th.
• Program dates and schedules are tentative and subject to change.
• US Soccer has returned to school-year age groups starting this Fall.

Requirements

• No jewelry, no hard hair barrettes, no toe cleats, no casts.
• Soccer cleats are recommended but not required.
• Shin guards under socks are recommended but not required.
• Uniforms and equipment requirements vary by age group.

Qualifications

• Volunteer coaches are needed for all age groups.
• Coaches decide the day, time, and number of practices based on their schedules.
• Travel may be required for some age groups.

Skills

• Ability to work with others in a team setting.
• Knowledge of soccer rules and regulations.
• Communication skills to interact with parents and players.
