Default Processor II - Real Estate
About the role
This is a hybrid role with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of the office located at 100 East Tryon Rd, Raleigh, NC 27603. This position performs administrative processing for the Credit Resolution group of the Bank at an advanced level of support. Provides crucial information and support to expedite collections, bankruptcy, foreclosure, repossession and loss mitigation activities.
Responsibilities
- Orders and processes all documentation used during the course of repossession, equity reviews and pre-foreclosure, including appraisals, credit reports, payment histories, tax and title searches, and other Bank records.
- Prepares equity analysis, credit and debit tickets, and other required documentation.
- Images documents to create electronic files for foreclosure referrals and liaises with other associates to ensure correct and thorough documentation has been provided.
- Maintains department files and databases to ensure accuracy and accessibility of crucial information, including entering or modifying records, tracking property sales, updating accounts, and monitoring monthly reporting.
- Performs a variety of administrative support tasks during the course of repossession, equity reviews and pre-foreclosure, including assisting with tax processes and special projects or handling advanced issues.
- Reviews, prepares, and processes invoices for repossession and equity reviews, and completes transactions for the accounts payable relating to repossession and equity reviews.
- Recognizes losses during the review of the equity process, advises management of potential losses, and ensures the loss is recognized timely in line with regulatory guidelines and internal applicable credit policy.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 1 year of experience in Real Estate and/or Loan Systems, or High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of experience in Real Estate and/or Loan Systems. Preferred skills and experience include loan documentation experience specific to real estate, collections, bankruptcy, repossession and/or foreclosure experience, administrative, documentation, and/or invoicing experience supporting defaulted loans, and title work or appraisal review experience.
