Deductions Analyst

We’re looking for a Deductions Analyst to join a high-volume short pay/deductions team supporting major retailers—where your day-to-day work directly protects revenue, strengthens internal controls, and keeps processes compliant and well-documented.

Responsibilities

• Dig into the details, validate legitimacy, code accurately, and resolve deductions with the level of due diligence that stands up to audits and supports strong financial discipline.
• Research and resolve customer deductions/short pays, particularly in high-volume environments.
• Show strong investigative skills—able to work through remittance detail, invoices, pricing/promo support, and shipping documentation.
• Show accuracy and discipline in coding, documentation, and maintaining audit-ready backup.
• Track open items (status, aging, dollars at risk, next action) and escalate appropriately to avoid unnecessary write-offs.
• Operate in environments with internal controls, SOPs, and audit support expectations.
• Show system experience with SAP (frequent daily use), TPM (Trade Promotion Management) tools supporting promo/trade activity, and HighRadius (cloud-based deductions platform).

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a similar role (e.g., Deductions Analyst, Credit & Collections Analyst with deductions exposure, or AR Analyst).
• Proven ability to research and resolve customer deductions/short pays, particularly in high-volume environments.
• Strong investigative skills—able to work through remittance detail, invoices, pricing/promo support, and shipping documentation.
• Accuracy and discipline in coding, documentation, and maintaining audit-ready backup.
• Ability to track open items (status, aging, dollars at risk, next action) and escalate appropriately to avoid unnecessary write-offs.
• Comfort operating in environments with internal controls, SOPs, and audit support expectations.
• Show system experience with SAP (frequent daily use), TPM (Trade Promotion Management) tools supporting promo/trade activity, and HighRadius (cloud-based deductions platform).

Nice to have

• Familiarity with major retailer deduction processes.
• Experience separating and managing trade vs. non-trade deduction workflows.
• Background in CPG, manufacturing, or distribution environments.

Preferred Education and Experience

• 2+ years of relevant deductions/AR/credit experience in a structured, process-driven setting.
• Experience supporting trade and non-trade deductions tied to retailer activity (promotions/allowances, shortages, freight discrepancies, damages, etc.).

Other Requirements

• Ability to maintain clear notes, organized documentation, and consistent backup to support audit trails and internal review.
• Strong follow-through and cross-functional coordination skills to help identify root causes (pricing/promo setup, shipment discrepancies, freight issues, etc.).
