Decontamination Assistant
The Role
Clean, disinfect, sterilize, and package dental instruments in accordance with HTM 01-05 guidance and practice protocols.
Operate and maintain decontamination equipment, including washer disinfectors and autoclaves.
Carry out routine testing and record keeping to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant decontamination area.
Dispose of clinical waste safely and in line with current regulations.
Support the wider practice team in maintaining high standards of infection prevention and control.
Report any equipment faults or compliance concerns promptly.
