Deckhand
Responsibilities
- Interact with guests with the goal of ensuring their safety and providing excellent service.
- Participate in all safety drills and reviews.
- Learn and perform safe line handling skills under direction of the Captain, Sr Deckhand or Crew Chief.
- Exhibit knowledge of local history, geology and industry.
- Regularly interact with guests regarding safety procedures, tour information, boat information and environmental data.
- Conduct food services, including cooking, preparation, serving and cleaning up.
- Strive to ensure guest’s expectations are exceeded.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Must possess CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Must possess state of Alaska Food Workers Certification.
- Basic understanding of the Alaskan environment.
- Basic understanding of vessel operations.
- Experience in working with groups and/or in teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

The starting wage for this role is $21.00/hour.
