About the role
The role is responsible for managing the culinary department on board the ship, overseeing the preparation and presentation of meals to ensure high standards of food quality and service.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the culinary department including menu planning, kitchen management, and staff training.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food safety guidelines.
- Work closely with the hospitality team to provide exceptional guest experiences.
- Manage inventory and budgeting for the culinary department.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team.
- Knowledge of food safety and health regulations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Qualifications
- Education in culinary arts or related field preferred.
- Valid food handler’s license.
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
