Deburrer

Responsibilities

• Smooth and finish machined parts by removing burrs, corners, and rough edges using hand tools, sandpaper, emery cloth, steel wool, and various compounds.
• Perform work under high power magnification to achieve precise dimensional tolerances.
• Use soda spray to clean machined parts.
• Properly maintain and store tools and equipment.
• Ensure completed work meets the specifications outlined in drawings, Quality Standards and work instructions.
• Accurately and legibly complete all necessary paperwork.
• Efficiently use computers to access documents and verify updates.
• Actively participate in the Continuous Improvement Process.
• Work with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English.
• Demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• This position requires access to U.S. export‑controlled information.

Pay

Salary range (Blacksburg, VA): $16.00–$20.00 hourly. Actual salaries vary based on location, experience, and performance; this range is one component of Moog's total compensation package, which may also include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, open paid time off policy, and region‑specific benefits.
