About the role

Nova Southeastern University (NSU) invites nominations and applications for the position of Dean of the H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business & Entrepreneurship. NSU seeks a visionary, entrepreneurial, and relationship-driven leader to guide the College into its next era of growth and distinction within a rapidly ascending R1 research university.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategic vision for all academic programs, advancing excellence in curriculum, faculty achievement, and student success.
• Capitalize on the College’s AACSB accreditation earned in 2023 to elevate academic quality, accelerate innovation, and enhance the College’s regional and national standing.
• Guide a forward-thinking business school defined by its commitment to entrepreneurship, experiential learning, and career-focused education.
• Advance venture creation, enterprise development, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the strategic integration of emerging technologies throughout programs and operations.
• Deepen engagement with alumni, employers, corporate partners, donors, and community leaders at the local, national, and global levels.

Requirements

• Candidates may come from academic, corporate, entrepreneurial, or blended backgrounds and will bring significant senior-level leadership experience with demonstrated decision-making authority.
• An advanced degree in business or a related discipline is required.
• Prior academic leadership experience is preferred, but distinguished business leadership paired with a strong commitment to education will be given full consideration.

The successful candidate will possess:

• A strong commitment to education and a passion for entrepreneurship and innovation.
• Proven leadership skills and a track record of successfully leading complex organizations.
• Experience in higher education, business administration, or a related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including faculty, students, alumni, and industry partners.
