We’re looking for a prayerful, energetic, compassionate priest to join our rural benefice as an Associate Priest (House for Duty).
About the role
A kettle on the boil. Muddy boots by the door. Seven villages where people genuinely look out for each other. If that sounds like your kind of ministry, you may feel very much at home here.
This is a House for Duty post, offering a 2-bedroom tied cottage in exchange for 2 days’ work plus Sunday duties.
Responsibilities
- Lead worship and preach on Sundays across the benefice
- Support the Team Rector in pastoral care and community outreach
- Help grow discipleship and lay ministry in our villages
- Engage with local schools, festivals, and seasonal events
- Live out the gospel in word and deed within a dispersed rural context
Requirements
- Ordained priest in the Church of England (or eligible for licensing)
- Experience of rural or multi-parish ministry
- Warm, collaborative leadership style
- Willingness to live in the benefice and become part of the community
