Duties And Responsibilities
- Implements consistent strategies for managing students with the most challenging behaviors in a deterring and therapeutic manner that does not allow disruption of the norms of the school and the learning of other students.
- Enforces code of conduct to maintain proper discipline and conduct.
- Works with and assists the staff in the development of effective classroom discipline and organization.
- Works with individual students or small groups for the purpose of practicing and/or reinforcing behavior expectations and concepts.
- Mets with parents and community stakeholders for understanding the student discipline and other external student needs.
- Helps coordinate and participate in MTSS throughout the building.
- Works with Administration, Student Success Coordinator, and the Master Teacher to develop, implement, document, and monitor the school’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS).
- Ensures high standards of achievement for all students.
- Ensures an orderly, motivational, and aspirational culture and a strong school community where teaching, learning and healthy relationships can thrive.
- Maintains good order and discipline among the pupils, safeguarding their health and safety.
- Performs all other job duties as assigned.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Effectively creates and submits weekly/monthly reporting to supervisor.
- Prepares required reports and paperwork such as discipline and suspension reports.
- Aids in student suspensions and expulsions.
- Maintains confidentiality concerning all student and staff information and in all professional matters.
- Adheres to the appropriate code of ethics and student confidentiality.

- Commitment to continued personal and professional growth, and a commitment to the company’s mission, vision, and growth.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Effective organizational skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks.
- Proven, effective classroom management skills.
- Passion for working with youth of various social and economic backgrounds, as well as academic and educational levels.
- Willingness to go above and beyond to support students in achieving their goals.
- Proficiency in the use of technology.
- Data Driven Mindset.
Education
- A minimum of an associate or bachelor’s degree.
- Possess relevant experience as deemed appropriate and acceptable by the School Director and/or Oakmont Education Group.
Experience
- A minimum of 1–2 years of experience working with students preferred.
- Experience with MTSS, student behavioral intervention, restorative justice, student mediation, and parent engagement.
