The Dean of Students and Assistant Athletic Director position at Winthrop High School supports student achievement, fosters a positive school climate, oversees student support systems, promotes high standards of conduct and engagement, and assists in coordinating, supervising, and complying with all high school athletic and co-curricular programs.

Responsibilities

• Support student achievement and foster a positive school climate
• Oversight of student support systems including RTI and intervention processes
• Lead daily school operations
• Assist in the coordination, supervision, and compliance of all high school athletic and co-curricular programs
• Coordinate, supervise, and ensure compliance with all high school athletic and co-curricular programs
• Supervise and support coaches and student-athletes
• Ensure high standards of conduct and engagement among students
• Build positive relationships with students, staff, families, and the community

Requirements

• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, families, and the community
• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of five years of successful combined teaching and administrative experience
• Demonstrated athletic leadership experience
• Evening and weekend availability for athletic events and school activities

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role preferred
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations

Pay

The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
