Key Responsibilities
- Install conduit, electrical equipment and fixtures in commercial and industrial settings.
- Test and troubleshoot all installed equipment and wiring using diagnostic tools such as voltmeter, megger, phase rotation meters, etc.
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure proper installation of electrical systems.
- Work with low, medium and high voltage systems.
- Provide support for electrical infrastructure installations.
- Safely utilize power tools and maintain a clean work environment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer's installation manuals.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70 NEC, and local codes.
- Maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) and tools.
- Follow safety policies and procedures to ensure personal and team safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical instructions, plans, and schematic diagrams.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 NEC standards.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and effective scheduling skills in a dynamic environment.
- Compliance with all city, state, and federal licensing and certification requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years as a Commercial Journeyman Electrical Maintenance Technician in a commercial/industrial environment.
- Familiarity with electrical installation and repair tasks.
- Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of safety protocols.
- Proficiency in using various power tools and electrical equipment.
- Experience in working with conduit installations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- High school diploma or GED and an Electrical Journeyman license.
- Must be capable of achieving and maintaining a security clearance.
- Able to lift and work with equipment over six feet and work in confined spaces.
