About the role
Provide instruction, following the curriculum outline, for table games including blackjack, carnival games (3-card poker, 4-card poker, Mississippi stud, ultimate Texas hold’em, Criss cross poker and High-Card Flush), mini baccarat, roulette, craps and pai gow poker. Assign grades and record attendance. Adhere to Anne Arundel Community College's PT Faculty Instructional policies and procedures. Classes take place Monday–Thursday at the Arundel Mills campus.
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction of Casino Dealer School table games courses as directed by enrollments and as assigned by your supervisor
- Prepare daily instructional lesson plans based upon curriculum
- Instruct in a manner consistent with the philosophy, policies, and guidelines of the college
- Attend departmental meetings as requested
- Maintain professional and effective communication
- Assess the learning outcomes listed in the course guide or syllabus
- Evaluate and document student performance using established methods, rubrics, and criteria
- Enter course grades consistently and with 100% accuracy
Requirements
- Background and expertise in subject area
- Current Floor Supervisor or above
- 4+ years’ casino industry experience
- Experience dealing blackjack and at least one of the following games: baccarat, craps or roulette, and a working knowledge of novelty games
- Flexibility and reliability are essential
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Familiarity with computer applications
- High school degree or equivalent
Pay
$33.40 per hour
Schedule
- Monday–Thursday, 7:00 am–11:30 am
- Work mode: regular in-person presence on campus and at alternative locations, depending on class schedule and other assigned duties
