Dealer Driver

About the role

Hiring immediately for an on‑call Dealer Driver position at James Wood Motors Decatur in Decatur, Texas. The role has flexible hours, with shifts ranging from 2‑12 hours depending on trip distance. The driver assists the Sales Department by delivering vehicles to other dealerships and customers safely and timely, playing a key part in customer satisfaction and the company’s continued success.

Responsibilities

• Drive new or pre‑owned vehicles to various locations.
• Check inbound vehicles for blemishes and document any findings.
• Deliver paperwork for vehicle exchanges and ensure proper documentation for purchases is received.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Sales Management.

Qualifications

• Clean, valid driver’s license.
• Ability to drive vehicles with a manual transmission.
• Comfortable driving in large metropolitan areas and on long‑distance trips.
• Capable of operating all vehicle sizes, from small cars to large trucks.
• Prompt arrival to work and safe conduct of all driving activities.
• Strong work ethic, clear communication, and interest in a long‑term career.
• Pass background check, drug test, and motor vehicle record check.
• Must be insurable under the company’s policy guidelines.
