This is a fixed-term opportunity for 3 months with an option to extend. While remote, we prioritize candidates who reside in CST and EST time zones.

About the role

As a multifaceted strategic and operational advisor, you will work closely with Revenue Operations, Finance, Legal, Product, and Marketing teams to provide strategic quoting and deal structuring support to the US and Global Sales Team. You’ll partner with regional leadership to prioritize and organize projects and deals for critical deadlines, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Deal Desk coverage for sales to crypto exchanges, fintech, and payment solutions customers, materially de-risking coverage during high-volume, high-stress deal strategy.
  • Drive data-backed analytics and pricing frameworks that shift approvals and pricing from intuition to objective guardrails and precedent.
  • Serve as the go-to commercialization partner for Legal, Product, Services, and Finance on non-standard SKUs and new offerings in both SaaS and on-prem environments, turning ambiguous edge cases into repeatable processes.
  • Demonstrate leadership through mentorship, enablement, and conflict-resolution, particularly in onboarding team members and embodying Chainalysis leadership principles.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of Chainalysis licensing and pricing models to provide deal structuring and quoting support to global sales teams.
  • Act as a creative problem solver, meeting customer needs while adhering to company strategy.
  • Perform price/discount realization analysis and present executive-level summaries with actionable recommendations to key business approvers.
  • Provide tactical and strategic guidance to Sales teams by coaching on contract objection-handling, alternative contract options, and best practices to close deals.
  • Function as the point of contact and subject matter expert for Sales on deal pricing and questions related to deviations from standard operational processes, infosec standards, and SLA/engineering positions.
  • Build meaningful partnerships with field teams and stakeholders through enablement, training, and QBR participation.
  • Develop analytics, KPIs, and business processes for pricing, using performance insights to drive improvements and share key learnings with executive leadership.
  • Collaborate with Sales Enablement to create training content ensuring Sales is informed on new products, best practices, and policy updates.
  • Create, maintain, and innovate an ongoing knowledge base of common deal cycle issues.
  • Establish key plays for the Deal Desk team to maximize creativity and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in a Deal Desk role, including related processes such as sales operations, enablement, finance, and/or legal.
  • Experience in deal structuring and quoting complex SaaS transactions for a fast-growing multinational company.
  • Analytical mindset with competency in in-depth analysis and modeling.
  • Leadership in cross-functional projects, including gathering, analyzing, prioritizing, and categorizing business requirements.
  • Solid understanding of the Quote-to-Order stages within the Lead-to-Cash lifecycle with Salesforce CRMs.
  • Working knowledge of revenue recognition (GAAP, ASC 606).
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and Salesforce CPQ.
  • Experience leading a team, with a focus on one-on-one mentoring and coaching.
  • Comfort representing the company in customer negotiations and resolving satisfaction issues.
  • Advanced written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to communicate policies and complex concepts clearly across all organizational levels.
  • Excellent collaboration, planning, time management, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, quantitative, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and troubleshoot operational issues as needed.
  • Strong proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Suite.
