About the role

As a multifaceted strategic and operational advisor, you’ll support our highest-growth region within the Deal Desk function. You’ll collaborate closely with Revenue Operations, Finance, Legal, Product, and Marketing teams to provide strategic quoting and deal structuring support to the US and Global Sales teams.

Success in one year

  • Led Deal Desk coverage for sales to crypto exchanges, fintech, and payment-solution customers, materially de-risking high-volume, high-stress deal strategy.
  • Drove data-backed analytics and pricing frameworks that shifted approvals and pricing from intuition to objective guardrails and precedent.
  • Served as the go-to commercialization partner for Legal, Product, Services, and Finance on non-standard SKUs and new offerings in both SaaS and on-prem environments, turning ambiguous edge cases into repeatable processes.
  • Demonstrated leadership through mentorship, enablement, and conflict-resolution, particularly in onboarding team members and embodying Chainalysis leadership principles such as Coach & Empower and Strong Convictions, Loosely Held.
  • Developed in-depth knowledge of Chainalysis licensing and pricing models to provide deal structuring and quoting support to global sales teams.
  • Became the expert creative problem solver who meets customer needs while adhering to company strategy.
  • Performed price/discount realization analysis with relevant deal context and presented executive-level summaries with actionable recommendations.
  • Provided tactical and strategic guidance to Sales teams by coaching on contract objection-handling, alternative contract options, and best practices to close deals.
  • Functioned as the point of contact and subject-matter expert for Sales on deal pricing and questions about deviations from standard operational processes, infosec standards, and SLA/engineering positions.
  • Created meaningful partnerships with field teams and stakeholders (e.g., enablement, training, QBR participation).
  • Built analytics, KPIs, and business processes for pricing, using performance insights to drive improvements and share key learnings with executive leadership.
  • Partnered with regional leadership to prioritize and organize projects for critical deadlines, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end.
  • Collaborated with Sales Enablement to create training content ensuring Sales is informed on new products, best practices, and policy updates.
  • Created, maintained, and innovated an ongoing knowledge base of common issues arising during deal cycles.
  • Established key plays for the Deal Desk team to maximize creativity and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience in a Deal Desk role, including related processes such as sales operations, enablement, finance, and/or legal, with specific experience in deal structuring and quoting complex SaaS transactions for a fast-growing multinational company.
  • Analytical mindset with recognized competency in in-depth analysis and modeling.
  • Leadership in cross-functional projects, including gathering, analyzing, prioritizing, and categorizing business requirements by complexity.
  • Solid understanding of the Quote-to-Order stages within the Lead-to-Cash lifecycle in Salesforce CRMs.
  • Working knowledge of revenue recognition (GAAP, ASC 606).
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and Salesforce CPQ.
  • Experience leading a team is preferred, with a track record in one-on-one mentoring and coaching.
  • Comfort representing the company in customer negotiations and resolving satisfaction issues.
  • Advanced written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to communicate policies and complex concepts clearly across all organizational levels.
  • Excellent collaboration, planning, time management, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, quantitative, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and troubleshoot operational issues as needed.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Suite.
