Position Highlights
- Determine home buyer’s ability to qualify for a mortgage loan
- Understand investor and agency guidelines
- Review and verify critical documents
- Delegate underwriting responsibilities for conventional and government agencies

Position Responsibilities
- Ensure loan applications are complete and compare data with actual documentation
- Calculate income from complex financial documents
- Run automated underwriting systems as applicable
- Disposition documents for acceptability or rejection based on loan conditions
- Facilitate loan restructuring when necessary
- Communicate with internal parties related to the transaction
- Manage pipeline deadlines to meet escrow deadlines
- Maintain updated communication logs or status reports
- Attend departmental meetings
- Adhere to regulatory guidelines and quality control metrics
- Meet minimum production requirements for new loan files and resubmission/condition reviews
Qualifications
- DE/SAR required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5-7 years experience with conventional and government underwriting of two or more agencies (VA, FHA, USDA); purchase/builder business preferred
- MS Office experience, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Encompass LOS experience preferred
- Pass CAIVRS acceptability

- Strong time management skills including the ability to work under fast-paced, sometimes tight deadlines
