De-Packaging Plant Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversight and maintenance of day-to-day operations of the depackaging facility.
  • Operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of depackaging and recycling equipment.
  • Cordination of unloading and receiving of inbound product shipments and trucks.
  • Cordination and loading of outbound product shipments and trucks.
  • Maintenance of organized flow of incoming and outgoing materials throughout the plant.
  • Maintenance of plant cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards.
  • Monitoring of equipment performance and identification of opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordination of preventative maintenance and minor repairs on plant equipment.
  • Work with outside vendors and maintenance technicians for advanced repairs.
  • Completion of operational paperwork and maintenance of accurate plant records.
  • Preparation and processing of Certificates of Destruction and other required documentation.
  • Overseeing product traceability.
  • Tracking inventory, loads, production volumes, and disposal records.
  • Working directly with the farm and the sales team to manage inventory.
  • Ensuring compliance with company safety policies and operational procedures.
  • Training and supervision of plant employees.
  • Auxiliary development and implementation of process improvements.
  • Professional communication with customers, vendors, truck drivers, and internal team members.
  • Recognition and resolution of operational problems.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of industrial equipment and maintenance.
  • Previous experience in plant operations, manufacturing, recycling, agriculture processing, food processing, warehouse operations, or related industries preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to lead employees and maintain accountability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
  • Computer skills including email, spreadsheets, and operational reporting.
  • Ability to adapt and solve problems independently.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as needed.
  • Ability to work safely around industrial equipment and moving machinery.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and industrial plant environments.
  • Mental alertness, safety consciousness, and capability to multitask in an operational setting.
