Key Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee the daily operations of DDD community-based programs and services.
- Ensure all programs are delivered in accordance with NJ DDD regulations, agency policies, and best practices.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate program initiatives to improve service quality and client outcomes.
- Monitor program performance and identify opportunities for growth and continuous improvement.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and DDD requirements.
- Conduct regular audits of client records, service documentation, and program operations.
- Avoid inaccurate completion of intake documents, assessments, reports, and service plans.
- Oversee incident reporting, corrective action plans, and quality improvement initiatives.
Staff Management & Development
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate Coordinators, Direct Support Professionals, and support staff.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and person-centered care.
- Manage staff schedules, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
Client & Community Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with individuals served, families, guardians, support coordinators, and community partners.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, state agencies, and community organizations to ensure comprehensive support services.
- Address client concerns and ensure timely resolution of service-related issues.
Administrative & Financial Management
- Oversee program budgets, resource allocation, and operational expenditures.
- Prepare and submit required reports to agency leadership and regulatory entities.
- Maintain proficiency with the NJ DDD electronic platform and iRecord system.
- Support strategic planning, program expansion, and agency growth initiatives.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership or management experience within developmental disability services, behavioral health, or social services.
- Strong knowledge of New Jersey DDD regulations, policies, and community-based services.
- Experience supervising staff and managing service programs.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining compliance and service quality.
- Preferred: Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience with NJ DDD's iRecord system and electronic documentation platforms.
- Experience with program development, budgeting, and quality assurance.
- Knowledge of person-centered planning and support coordination practices.
