Description
The LONG Lead Controls Service Technician will lead the service team in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of temperature control systems. Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and implementing solutions to system issues using industrial experience.
- Determining the most effective actions based on troubleshooting results, controls plans, mechanical system operation, and BAS data.
- Programming, tuning, and controlling setpoints according to manufacturer and engineering recommendations.
- Calibrating and troubleshooting control systems and equipment.
- Providing updates to drawings and keeping records for as-built documentation.
- Communicating with customers to address inquiries, offer guidance, and resolve technical issues.
- Offering technical analysis and recommendations to owners and the service team.
- Instructing and guiding junior team members on maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Maintaining accurate records of repairs and providing reports to the Service Supervisor.
- Communicating with various teams and stakeholders regarding scheduling, job concerns, and technical matters.
- Advising supervisors and managers on system deficiencies and customer complaints.
- Maintaining and expanding technological knowledge and programming skills with relevant manufacturers.
- Evaluating and documenting maintenance status and completing assigned work.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and code requirements.
- Performing on-call work as needed.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.50 - $55.00 per hour, plus potential profit sharing. Benefits include:

Qualifications
- 2 years of computer/electronic technical degree or 5 years of temperature control system experience.
- Advanced programming and troubleshooting skills with systems like KMC, Distech, Tridium/Honeywell, etc.
- Strong analytical abilities for resolving software and integration issues.
- Expertise in HVAC systems, control systems, building automation, electrical systems, energy management, engineering, and construction procedures.
- Proven ability to manage and lead multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience mentoring junior team members on complex worksite tasks and issues.
- Strong customer service orientation and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Effective leadership, communication (both written and verbal), and computer proficiency.
- Strong organizational and planning abilities.
- Willingness and ability to travel to job sites and customer locations.
