DC Team Member - Outbound

About the Role

Covetrus is seeking a Warehouse Associate (Picker/Packer) for our Columbus, OH distribution center. This role is responsible for fulfilling and shipping customer orders in a climate-controlled, small-team environment with minimal weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Pull products accurately and efficiently from stock for customer orders as pick lists are printed.
• Ensure orders are filled with products with the earliest expiration dates first.
• Carefully pack orders ensuring product matches customer invoice, quantities are correct, and all proper brochures and materials are included.
• Ensure products ship in accordance with Department of Transportation regulations, including proper labeling, packaging, and logging of hazardous materials.
• Ensure manifest documents are accurate and use the most economical shipping method available.

Requirements

• No work experience required; must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prefer 6 months’ work experience in a warehouse or production environment.
• Ability to read and understand English to effectively interpret product descriptions, labels, shelves, and other documents.
• Basic math skills to ensure accurate product quantities.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment (order pickers, reach trucks, forklifts).

Physical Demands

• Must be flexible to work mandatory overtime during the normal workweek to ensure timely customer delivery.
• Ability to lift and transport 30 pounds regularly and up to 50-70 pounds occasionally.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk on concrete for the duration of the shift, including bending, stooping, and reaching.
• May occasionally work in a cooler environment of 35°-46°F.
