What's the Short Version?

The Distribution Center (DC) Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the distribution center to ensure accurate and timely product processing and delivery. Key responsibilities include coordinating daily activities, providing direction and development to hourly staff, conducting performance appraisals, interviewing and hiring new employees, collaborating across departments, analyzing trends, fostering a respectful work environment, responding to employee needs, and managing difficult situations.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Identify and coordinate daily activities to achieve desired results in productivity, teamwork, safety, quality, and job knowledge.
  • Oversee all aspects of the distribution center to ensure the products are processed and delivered in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Provide day-to-day direction and development to hourly staff to include coaching, counseling, career development, and corrective actions.
  • Conduct annual performance appraisals and provide continued feedback on overall performance.
  • Interview and hire new employees.
  • Collaborate across departments to drive optimal productivity.
  • Analyze business and performance trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Foster an environment in which diverse backgrounds are respected and valued.
  • Respond to employee needs, including professionalism, respect, and consideration of others.
  • Manage difficult employee situations in a professional manner.

What Are We Looking For?

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • 4-6 years of warehouse experience
  • 1-3 years as a lead or supervisor
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
  • Should be able to read, write, and have sufficient ability to identify colors, sizes, quantity, label and SKU information and verbally communicate with customers
  • Demonstrated ability to follow directions and change priorities or job duties as business needs require
  • Sound and accurate judgment
  • Demonstrated flexibility and the ability to quickly adapt to change in the work environment
  • Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness and monitors work to ensure quality
  • Strong conflict management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-directed and motivated
  • Takes initiative to identify and anticipate department needs and make recommendations for implementation
  • Able to work in high-demand, high-volume environment while meeting deadlines
  • Able to work both independently and within a team
  • Strong attention to detail

  • Bonus: You'll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 10% of base salary.
