Responsibilities
- Verify materials against paperwork and system records to ensure accuracy
- Identify and resolve discrepancies with inventory or shipments
- Support audits and document quality findings
- Help improve processes to reduce errors and improve efficiency
- Safely operate powered industrial equipment in accordance with OSHA guidelines and Ferguson safety procedures
- Communicate effectively with team members and support a team‑oriented work environment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, participating in ongoing housekeeping efforts
- Adhere to all safety requirements, including proper use of PPE and fall‑protection equipment when required
- Participate in team meetings and communicate concerns or improvement opportunities to management
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs
Qualifications
- Prior warehouse quality assurance experience strongly preferred
- Prior warehouse, distribution, shipping, or receiving experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize work, manage multiple demands, and meet deadlines through effective communication and collaboration
- Experience operating powered industrial equipment (stand‑up forklifts, reach trucks, order selectors, dock stockers) preferred
- Ability to safely perform physically demanding work in a warehouse environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing/walking for extended periods, working at heights up to 30 feet, and performing repetitive movements (bending, twisting, reaching)
- Experience with, or readiness to learn, warehouse technology such as RF scanners or voice systems, along with beginner to intermediate computer skills
- Regular and reliable attendance and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
- Commitment to following all safety policies and PPE requirements
- Ability to work overtime including extended hours as needed based on business demands
