DC Product Handler

About the role

As a Product Handler at Rural King, you will maintain a safe, accurate, and productive work environment by stacking products exiting the conveyor onto pallets securely and efficiently. You’ll contribute to a positive customer experience and support the needs of the communities we serve while upholding Rural King’s values.

Responsibilities

• Stack products safely and securely on pallets to maximize shipping efficiency.
• Use an RF scan gun to scan cases off the conveyor and associate them with the designated load label.
• Close and secure loads with wrap, then pull completed pallets from the line using a pallet jack.
• Meet daily, weekly, and monthly quality and production goals.
• Follow safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Demonstrate behaviors aligned with Rural King’s values: People First, Integrity, Attitude, Initiative, Teamwork, Accountability, and Continuous Improvement.
• Provide friendly, proactive, and professional customer service for internal and external inquiries.
• Actively participate in training programs, workshops, and learning initiatives to refine skills and stay current.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least one year of warehouse/manufacturing experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible, proactive, and efficient.
• Strong math and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain high attention to detail.
• Track record of producing error-free work and meeting quality standards.
• Willingness to adapt to new responsibilities and take a proactive approach to learning and growth.
• Genuine enthusiasm for personal and professional development, with a growth mindset.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift up to 65 pounds at times.
• Ability to access and navigate all facilities.
• Effective verbal communication (in-person and via electronic devices).
• Ability to see at close and far distances.
• Ability to lift, bend, carry, and push repetitively.
