DC Materials Handler - Quality Assurance
Essential Job Functions
- Perform order adjustments, repicks, inventory transfers, inventory adjustments, and quantity corrections to maintain inventory accuracy and resolve allocation issues.
- Monitor, research, and resolve allocation, receiving, stocking, and inventory discrepancies within the warehouse management system and Problem Resolution (Orders) programs.
- Research and correct item number, location, receiving, and keying errors by comparing physical inventory against system inventory.
- Conduct daily audits of outbound parcels, inbound license plates, damage locations, and warehouse inventory to verify inventory numbers and accurate operations.
- Perform trimester cycle counts, quarterly return department verification audits, and monthly critical supply inventories while following O'Reilly inventory control procedure.
- Process and reconcile stray parts and relabel/changeover projects.
- Perform all job functions associated with factory stock adjustments, factory stock lifts, final sweeps and recalls.
- Walk the distribution center to locate missing freight, investigate inventory discrepancies, or resolve issues related to Not Expected and Max Quantity Receive errors if applicable.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas while following all operational, quality, and safety procedures while identifying unsafe practices or conditions.
- Communicate inventory discrepancies, dimensional concerns, max cap issues, and receiving problems to leadership teams.
- Request repair and replacement of RF units, Vocollect equipment, and other operational devices to support workflow continuity.
Skills/Education/Experience Required
- Ability to accurately match numerical and alphabetical information.
- Follows established operational, safety, and quality procedures.
- Maintain safe work environment, including but not limited to safely lifting, moving, and handling merchandise.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory research and reconciliation processes.
- Willingness to learn warehouse systems, RF technology, and operational processes.
Desired Experience
- Working in a warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with inventory audits, cycle counts, and inventory adjustment processes.
- Experience operating warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, or voice-picking equipment.
- Experience working within productivity, quality, or performance-driven environments.
- Proficiency in one or more additional languages.
