DC Manager

About the role

Azelis Americas CASE is seeking a Distribution Center Manager to lead and oversee all distribution center activities. This position is responsible for delivering product on Azelis-operated vehicles or common carriers, motivating and developing staff, and ensuring operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Motivate and develop distribution center personnel
• Develop and implement a “Warehouse Work Team”
• Implement and ensure compliance with operational procedures
• Ensure proper receipt and storage of products
• Certify safety and DOT, OSHA, and EPA compliance
• Oversee training program compliance
• Coordinate with Purchasing and Customer Service departments
• Ensure safekeeping and maintenance of fixed assets
• Handle Customer Service / CSR Manager duties as needed
• Act as local SHEQ Manager
• Support corporate management on interviewing, hiring, disciplining, and terminating employees
• Perform warehouse functions as needed

Requirements

• At least 1-2 years of managerial experience managing a team between 3-5 employees
• Superior skills in motivating and leading people
• Trained and certified in forklift operation
• Physically able to lift at least 50 pounds and perform labor-intensive activities
• Team player with a passion for excellence
• Strong command of margin optimization opportunities

Qualifications

• 2-year college degree in Business or Logistics preferred
• 5 or more years work experience with job responsibilities similar to or related to the above listed duties and responsibilities
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts and interpret technical instructions
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
• Knowledge of Internet software, inventory software, order processing systems, project management software, spreadsheet software, and word processing software
