DC Maintenance Specialist II

Pay range: $29.60 - $33.00 per hour. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance premiums, schedule-based premiums, facility-specific premiums, seasonal premiums, or premiums for specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
Responsibilities
- Repair miscellaneous distribution center equipment, including forklifts, battery maintenance, power jacks, hand jacks, and corporate vehicles; maintain detailed repair logs for each piece of equipment.
- Perform electrical work such as data and voice cabling, as well as plumbing, carpentry, and fabrication duties as needed.
- Maintain and troubleshoot distribution center conveyor systems, including routine preventative maintenance to ensure proper working conditions.
- General maintenance of the distribution center, office buildings, and grounds, including snow removal, salting, mowing, tree trimming, and trash pickup.
- Assist with moves, including disassembling and setting up cubicles, offices, movable partitions, office furniture, and equipment.
- Perform preventive battery maintenance and provide detailed maintenance records for quarterly audits.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on all HVAC units, including monthly filter maintenance.
- Provide after-hours emergency assistance, serving as a first responder to assess snow removal needs and other urgent situations.
- Maintain safety standards while operating equipment and identify unsafe practices or situations.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar maintenance position.
- Strong skills in electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, and fabrication.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in electrical work, welding, metal fabrication, and/or machine maintenance.
- Technical or vocational education.
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
