DC City Counter Route Driver
Compensation
Pay Range: $22.25 – $26.25 per hour (actual rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage). Additional compensation may include hourly performance, quarterly performance, or premium payments based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed; multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met.
About the role
Complete deliveries and pickups on assigned city counter routes in an accurate, efficient, safe, and courteous manner. Deliver store orders safely and professionally using a company vehicle, communicating with city counter management about parts delivery, and managing delivery/pickup documentation for company stores, city counters, and outside vendors. Maintain O’Reilly delivery vehicles according to company policy, verify correct parts before loading, adhere to route schedules, and uphold safety standards while identifying unsafe practices or situations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver all orders accurately to the correct locations.
- Follow specific route schedules and times set by supervisor.
- Quality-check loads before loading to ensure correct parts are pulled and accounted for.
- Maintain safety standards while operating and identify unsafe practices and situations.
- As a trainer, own the DC target training program: conduct training on schedule, complete all documentation, explain job duties to new team members, and convey procedural changes to existing team members.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by DC Management.
Requirements
- Clean driving record with the appropriate license required by state.
- Ability to read and match numerical and alphabetical characters quickly and accurately.
- Maintain a professional appearance and a positive and respectful attitude.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
- Previous driving experience preferred.
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
