Daytime Light Janitorial/Housekeeping

About the role

This position is perfect for someone that wants 12-15 hours/wk daytime and will be responsible for light janitorial duties for our customer’s building.

Schedule

Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 8 am to 12 pm in Mauldin (approximately 12‑15 hours per week).

Responsibilities

• Remove debris and litter from common space areas
• Maintain common space areas (kitchen floors, cafeteria, lobby, break room)
• Restock bathrooms
• Respond to cleaning emergencies and major spills
• Perform cleaning duties: vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, polishing, trash removal, window cleaning, moving furniture/equipment
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
• Use proper PPE where required
• Place safety hazard signs (e.g., “wet floor”) as necessary
• Monitor, clean, service and restock bathrooms

Qualifications

• 1‑2 years’ experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper (preferred but not required)
• On‑the‑job training provided for candidates with strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Experience working for a professional janitorial company, office complex, hotel, hospital, or school is a plus
• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs
• Ability to read cleaning instructions
• Ability to differentiate between cleaning products and their uses
• Physical demands: constant standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching overhead, and reaching forward
