About the role

Lifesteps is a non-profit human services organization serving Western Pennsylvania for nearly 100 years by “helping individuals and families with life's changing needs.” The agency provides programs and services to help those with special needs live to their fullest potential. As a Direct Care Companion, you will provide a high level of quality care to individuals while ensuring each person is treated with respect and dignity. You will improve the quality of life for each individual by assisting them in learning to live and function as independently as possible in their home and community.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to individuals with special needs.
• Assist individuals in learning to live and function as independently as possible in their home and community.
• Ensure individuals are treated with respect and dignity.

Requirements

• 18 years or older.
• Ability to lift 200 lbs. with assistance.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Ability to obtain ACT 33/34 and FBI clearances.

Schedule

Full-time position with a schedule of 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
